2025 TOUCH GRASS CHALLENGE Official Terms and Conditions for Outdoor Wellness Challenge
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern participation in the 2025 Touch Grass Challenge (the “Challenge”). The Challenge is operated by The Scholarship Collective LLC (“TSC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By entering, participants agree to these Terms.
Eligibility
• The Challenge is open to active members of The Scholarship Essay Academy or Scholarships Near Me Plus (“Memberships”) at TSC as of the date the winners are selected.
• Membership must remain active through August 15, 2025, when winners are announced.
• Participants must be at least 13 years old
• Employees, contractors, and affiliates of TSC and their immediate family members are not eligible to win prizes.
Challenge Period
The Challenge begins on July 2, 2025, at 12:00 AM EST and ends on August 2, 2025, at 11:59 PM EST
Submissions received after the deadline will not be considered
How to Enter
Participating in the Touch Grass Challenge is simple:
- Snap a photo of yourself enjoying the outdoors this summer – Whether you’re hiking, reading in a park, studying outside, gardening, playing sports, or simply relaxing in nature, capture the moment!
- Write a 2-3 sentence reflection on how this outdoor time supports your academic/scholarship goals – Share how spending time outdoors helps you recharge, gain clarity, boost creativity, reduce stress, or enhance your overall well-being as a student.
- Include your photo and reflection in one submission – Upload both your photo and written reflection through the designated area in the Membership portal by August 2, 2025, at 11:59 PM EST.
Submission Requirements and Judging Criteria
All documentation must be submitted through the designated area in the Membership portal by August 2, 2025, at 11:59 PM EST. Submissions must include:

Judging Criteria
Submissions will be evaluated based on the following 100-point rubric:
Photo Quality & Authenticity (50 points)
• Clear, genuine photo showing outdoor activity (25 points)
• Creative or inspiring outdoor setting (15 points)
• Shows personal engagement with nature (10 points)
Reflection Insight & Connection (50 points)
• Clear connection between outdoor time and academic/scholarship goals (25 points)
• Thoughtful insight about personal well-being and student life (15 points)
• Authentic and engaging writing style (10 points)
Additional Judging Notes: • Professional photography skills are not required – authenticity matters more than perfection • Submissions must include both photo and reflection to be eligible • In case of a tie, higher scores in the Reflection category will determine the winner • The decision of the judging panel is final and binding
Prizes
• First Place: $250 • Second Place: $150 • Third Place: $100
Prizes will be distributed via the payment method specified by winners and are non-transferable. Winners are solely responsible for any taxes or fees associated with receiving their prize.
Winners Announcement
Winners will be announced on or around August 15, 2025, through email, social media, and the Membership portal. Winners will be contacted via the email associated with their Membership.
Photo Usage Rights and Consent
By submitting a photo as part of your Touch Grass Challenge entry, you grant The Scholarship Collective LLC (“TSC”) a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and display your submitted photo for promotional and marketing purposes. This includes but is not limited to:
• Social media posts across all TSC platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) • Website content and blog posts • Email marketing campaigns and newsletters • Educational materials and presentations • Contest winner announcements and promotional content
You represent and warrant that: • You are the original creator/owner of the submitted photo or have obtained proper permissions • The photo does not infringe on any third-party rights • You have the right to grant this license to TSC • Any individuals appearing in the photo have consented to its use
While TSC will make reasonable efforts to credit you when using your photo, you acknowledge that credit may not always be feasible across all platforms and uses. You retain ownership of your original photo but agree that TSC may use it indefinitely for the purposes outlined above.
If you do not agree to these photo usage terms, please do not submit a photo as part of your Challenge entry.
Intellectual Property Rights
All Challenge materials, templates, and content are copyrighted to TSC © 2025. Selling, altering, or replicating Challenge materials is prohibited by law. Participants retain rights to their submitted content but grant TSC license to use for promotional purposes.
Safety and Liability
Participants engage in outdoor activities at their own risk. TSC is not responsible for injuries, accidents, or incidents that occur during outdoor activities. Participants are encouraged to: • Follow local safety guidelines and regulations • Inform others of their outdoor plans • Carry appropriate safety equipment • Respect private property and environmental regulations
Technical Requirements
TSC is not responsible for technical difficulties or submission errors. Participants are responsible for maintaining their own internet connection and access to the platform.
Privacy and Security
Credit card information is never stored by TSC. Personal information collected will be kept strictly confidential. Aggregate data may be used for educational purposes without identifying information. For complete details, see our Privacy Policy at https://go.scholarshipjunkie.com/privacy-policy/

TSC is not affiliated with or endorsed by Facebook™ or any other third-party platforms mentioned in these Terms. All third-party resources mentioned (AllTrails, park services, etc.) are provided for reference only.

General Conditions
TSC reserves the right to modify or cancel the Challenge at any time. Participants release TSC from any liability related to the Challenge. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between participants and TSC regarding the Challenge.
By participating, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.
